Think about how far we have come as a society in the past 30 years. When I was growing up, women's income's were not taken into account when a couple wanted to buy a house. Women could not get individual lines of credit. There were not woman's sports as we know them today in grade and High Schools. Women running a Fortune 500 Company? Unheard of just a generation ago.
But think of how much farther we have to go. Equal pay for equal work. Affordable daycare, homestead Mother allowance for those that choose to stay out of the office workforce, and so much more. Healthcare, retirement, the list could go on and on.
This year I didn't hear much about International Women's Day and I hope that Main Stream Media recovers next year and gives voice to the may causes that actually help all of us.
